چکیده

In cellular systems, hotspot communication can be established to support the high-traffic areas by using the same frequency band of the original cellular systems. However, interference from the hotspots deteriorates the communication performance of original cellular system. In this paper, in order to decrease these interference, we set up the access point of hotspots with the adaptive array antenna and code assignment method between the cellular and the hotspot communication are considered. OFDM hotspot communication is overlapped to the uplink of MC/DS-CDMA cellular system in the same frequency band and we propose the beam forming method to eliminate inter-system interference. Moreover, by allocating orthogonal variable spreading factors (OVSF) code to the both hotspot users and cellular users in the hotspot uplink period, the orthogonality of each user is kept. As a result, we can embed many hotspots into the cellular system with very small interference toward the uplink communication of cellular and we can improve the capacity of the system. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated by computer simulation under additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and Rayleigh fading environment. Mobile and Residential INEA Wi-Fi Hotspot Network

Since 2012 INEA has been developing and expanding the network of IEEE 802.11 compliant Wi-Fi hotspots (access points) located across the Greater Poland region. This network consists of 330 mobile (vehicular) access points carried by public buses and trams and over 20,000 fixed residential hotspots distributed throughout the homes of INEA customers to provide Internet access via the “community W...

Fully Self-Organized Fair Peering of Wireless Hotspots

We argue that wireless hotspot bandwidth can be exchanged as a peer-to-peer resource and we promote the idea of hotspot sharing, analogous to the traditional idea of file sharing. With hotspot sharing, users are encouraged to open their privately owned hotspots and offer Internet access to passersby. Payments are only “in kind” and not necessarily simultaneous. We are motivated by the widesprea...

Jointly power and bandwidth allocation for a heterogeneous satellite network

Due to lack of resources such as transmission power and bandwidth in satellite systems, resource allocation problem is a very important challenge. Nowadays, new heterogeneous network includes one or more satellites besides terrestrial infrastructure, so that it is considered that each satellite has multi-beam to increase capacity. This type of structure is suitable for a new generation of commu...
